Reworked T Shirts

This Reworked T Shirt started as a classic button-up hanging quietly on a thrift rack. I brought it into my sewing room, studied the pattern, and began slicing and rearranging until it felt like something you would actually get excited to wear. Think familiar flannel comfort, but with unexpected details that make it feel current.

I play with creative cuts-cropped hems, curved sides, or slightly lengthened backs-to give shape without sacrificing that easy, throw-on feel. Every combination is chosen one at a time, by eye and by hand, so no two shirts ever match.

Because I am working with reclaimed textiles, the fabric has that already-broken-in softness right from the start. You can wear it open over a tee like a lightweight jacket, button it and half-tuck it with jeans, or tie it at the waist with leggings and boots. It is the kind of piece that slips into your wardrobe and quietly becomes your go-to for cool evenings, apple orchard trips, and casual Fridays.

I handle every step myself-from hunting the original shirt, to cutting, to the final topstitch-so you end up with something thoughtfully made, durable, and distinctly yours.
